We invite all interested researchers to participate in next year’s 13th Marketing Dynamics Conference, to be held at the University of Hamburg July 6-9, 2016. The Marketing Dynamics Conference is a forum whose relatively small scale (about 100-120 participants) ensures a vibrant discussion about cutting-edge research on managerially relevant dynamic marketing problems. We introduce a new PhD track with dynamic feedback on July 7, a dynamic best paper award, and allow 45 minutes for each presented paper. Please submit your work until Feb 5, 2016 to marketing-dynamics@wiso.uni-hamburg.de. Decisions will be made by Feb 15, 2016. Please see the Call for Papers (below) for Details. What is new? Introducing a few innovations to further increase the high quality ofMDC:
- Getting dynamic feedback on your research: PhD Workshop (Thu, July 7)
A new session for PhDs to present their research to the plenary chaired by the Advisory Board: we aim to generate constructive suggestions on how to further improve your research project – a unique opportunity you should not miss. We will assign up to 10 PhD slots on Thursday. PhD students register at the early preferential rate of EUR 250 (regular: EUR 475). - Best Dynamic Paper Award
This is an award chosen by the Adv Board & another incentive to present your research at MDC. - Focus on Quality
MDC is different because of its intense interaction between presenter and audience. We intend to strengthen this differentiation by giving you 45 minutes presentation including discussion.
How can you participate? You can participate either as an attendee or presenter. We welcome topics that model dynamic marketing phenomena involving dynamic outcomes, actions, or processes (e.g., Bayesian learning, dynamic structural models, Hidden Markov models, timeseries approaches, dynamic competitive games, dynamics in consumer learning, brand and corporate equity, customer management, or market response). Please do not submit papers that have been accepted for publication. The conference is intended for work in progress and working papers that will best profit from collective audience feedback. - Decision by: Feb 15, 2016; presenters need to register by March 15, 2016.
The papers to be presented in the regular program will be selected by the program committee, the advisory board will select the papers for the PhD track on Thursday, July 7th. Both selections will be based on quality, relevance to marketing dynamics, and diversity of topics discussed. (Early) Registration fee will be EUR 475 for academics – Registration will open in January 2016.
