National Conference in Sales Management
Submission Extension Announcement
November 9th, 2015
The deadline for proposals for the 2016 National Conference in Sales Management (NCSM) has been extended to November 9th, 2015. I hope you will consider submitting your proposals for competitive papers, doctoral student research, best practices in sales education, and special sessions for some of the reasons highlighted below:
For Researchers:
- NCSM is the longest running premier academic conference focused exclusively on selling and sales management.
- We do not do concurrent sessions resulting in highest possible participation in each research presentation for widespread dissemination of your research and/or exceptional feedback as you move forward in your research stream.
- We encourage presentations of both completed research as well as propositional pieces.
- Author(s) of the competitive paper manuscript judged to be the top paper in terms of quality and relevance will receive a plaque and a total paper award of $500. The paper will later be separately reviewed for the Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management.
For Educators
- NCSM is the top academic conference focused exclusively on selling and sales management education.
- NCSM is a great place to both share and receive information on the latest tools and pedagogies to improve sales education for the students and the employers.
- NCSM is a great place to learn about the various sales competitions, sales certifications and other unique educational opportunities you can offer your students.
- To encourage innovation in sales, NCSM in partnership with the University Sales Center Alliance, we award the most innovative pedagogy with a $1000 prize and a recognition plaque.
For Doctoral Students
- NCSM recognizes the continued high demand for new faculty specializing in teaching and researching in Selling and Sales Management.
- To help meet this demand, and benefit doctoral students who decide to specialize, we encourage doctoral students to attend and participate in NCSM.
- Conference registration fees are waived for all current doctoral students attending NCSM.
- In partnership with the University Sales Center Alliance we also offer a Doctoral Fellow award for the best paper presentation that comes with a $1000 award and a plaque. The money can help with dissertation expenses and the recognition can help find a job.
- NCSM is a great place to develop relationships in the sales area for future collaborations or even job opportunities.
For All Attendees:
- The NCSM is a smaller conference where you truly get to know the other faculty in attendance. In some ways, these are your colleagues even if they do not teach at the same university.
- We always save time for special sessions ranging from panels or hands on presentations that will both entertain and give valuable insight into publishing, teaching, or interacting with the C-suite.
- Sessions will begin Tuesday at 1pm. Tuesday night we will get to know each other at a special event at the “Safehouse”. Created in 1970, this spy-themed speakeasy will delight…assuming you know the right password to get in.
- The conference will wrap up Thursday night with a tour of Harley Davidson and dinner in the museum restaurant.
