This is a call for proposals for Best Practices in Sales Education session for the 2016 National Conference in Sales Management (NCSM). The conference is Tuesday, March 22 through Friday March 25, 2016 at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, WI. Proposals for the Best Practices in Sales Education session, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday March 23, should highlight effective classroom techniques, assignments, etc., that can be used in any sales-related class. As in the past 3 years, University Sales Center Alliance (USCA) is sponsoring the Best Teaching Innovation award.

A panel of judges will evaluate the submitted proposals and rank order them based on creativity, originality, effectiveness and ease of implementation in the class room. The top six proposals will be asked to present in category A and compete for the $1000 prize. From the remaining proposals, top eight (max) will be asked to present in category B. Details for each category are given below:

Presentation Category A: Prize money: $1000 Six Presentations

  • Proposals for this session are required to have a clear implementable teaching method (to be done by the instructor- not third party demo). Presentation could include demonstration, examples if it has already been implemented).
  • Allocated time: 30 minutes, 15 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes Q & A and discussion.
  • A panel of reviewers will pick six proposals for this category and will be part of the first group of presentations with 30 minute slots.
  • Like in previous years, winner will be selected by a panel of judges.
  • Winner in this category will be awarded $1000 prize money and a plaque.

Presentation Category B: Prize money/Certificate Eight Presentations

Up to eight proposals not selected for Category A will be included in the conference and will be given 15 minutes for presentation and Q & A. Two winners in this category will be awarded a cash prize of $100 each and a certificate (details to be worked out).

Please submit your proposal in Microsoft Word format (TNR 12, double spaced, one inch margin), 5 pages maximum. Proposals submitted before the deadline will be evaluated and the accepted proposals will be included in the teaching session.
