Dr. David Stewart is the President’s Professor of Marketing at Loyola Marymount University. He is a distinguished scholar whose prodigious research has examined a wide range of issues, including marketing strategy, consumer information search and decision making,? effectiveness of marketing communications, and public policy issues in the field of marketing. He has authored over 225 articles and 8 books. These scholarly works have collectively been cited 15,326 times per Google Scholar (as of April 2015) – making Dr. Stewart one of the most cited scholars in the field of marketing and among the very elite in the field of public policy.
Moreover, Dave has not only produced research, but has also served in key administrative roles (Associate Dean, Department Chair, Dean) at his home universities (Vanderbilt, University of Southern California, UC Riverside, now LMU). And, incredibly, he has also served the academic enterprise as Editor of three key journals of our field – the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and, currently, the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing.
This impressive academic has previously received awards and recognitions for his contributions, and we are proud to join to confer this Lifetime Achievement Award to honor his work in this important area of Marketing. Our sincere congratulations to David W. Stewart, a fine person, a fine scholar, and a leader in our field!
