Ethics in Consumption: Interdisciplinary Perspectives Doctorial Colloquium
As part of the ESRC Seminar Series, we will be holding an Ethics in Consumption: Interdisciplinary Perspectives Doctorial Colloquium, and warmly invite enrolled doctoral students who are at any stage of their doctoral training and research to submit a proposal.

The Ethics in Consumption: Interdisciplinary Perspectives Doctorial Colloquium will provide doctoral students with the opportunity to present their doctoral work to peers and faculty, and to receive feedback from a panel of expert researchers in a supportive forum. This doctoral colloquium will also feature presentations and mentoring by leading scholars in the multi-disciplinary fields of consumption ethics, including Dr Terry Newholm and Dr Alan Bradshaw. The Doctorial Colloquium (chaired by Professor Deirdre Shaw, Dr Andreas Chatzidakis, Dr Michal Carrington and Helen Goworek) also offers an opportunity for PhD students to get to know one another and build peer networks, interact with faculty, and improve their research ideas. Participants’ proposals will be viewed by two scholars in the field of ethical consumption and feedback/critique will be provided to each participant after their presentation. Entry will be on a competitive process as places will be limited.
