SPORTSIG Members and Friends,

SPORTSIG’s Saturday night reception at the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Summer Educators’ Conference will be held at the Chicago Cubs vs. Chicago White Sox game on Saturday, August 15.

The event will feature all you can eat food in the Patio Cafe area at U.S. Cellular Field, a Q&A with White Sox Chief Marketing Officer Brooks Boyer, and the presentation of several awards, including the Sport Marketing Quarterly (SMQ) Conference Best Paper Award, the Distinguished Career Contribution Award, Emerging Scholar in Sports Marketing Award, and the Paper of the Year in Sports/Event Marketing Award.

Last but not least, we will also take in the Cubs-White Sox game beginning at 6:10 pm CT.

Below is the itinerary for the evening:

• 4 pm: Depart Sheraton for U.S. Cellular Field (Via cab or El train, route here)
• 4:30 pm: Arrive at U.S. Cellular Field
• 4:30 pm: Watch Cubs batting practice from Patio Area
• 4:40 pm: All you can eat buffet is served
• 5:00 pm: White Sox CMO Brooks Boyer Q&A with group
• 5:30 pm: SIG Awards Presentations
• 6:10 pm: First pitch, Cubs vs. White Sox
• 6:40 pm: Buffet ends, move to seats to watch game

Train departs U.S. Cellular Field for return to Sheraton every 10 minutes, all night

In recognition of our existing group membership and to help attract new members to the organization, we will be subsidizing the cost of tickets for the first 20 SPORTSIG members to purchase tickets to the event (which includes both the pre-game all you can eat buffet and an outfield reserved game ticket), at a cost of ONLY $20 EACH!

You must be a SPORTSIG member to receive this special rate (For current ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø members, an additional SIG membership is only $20). Information about ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø memberships is available here. Tickets are available to non-members for $77 each.

A ticket to the event is not reserved until payment is sent, so be sure to send in your payment prior to the June 15 deadline. After the deadline, any tickets not spoken for will be returned to the White Sox, so no further orders can be taken after the June 15 deadline.
