Evans Earns Sales SIG Award

Ken Evans has won the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Sales SIG's 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award
The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Sales SIG is proud to announce that Dr. Kenneth Evans is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for 2015.
Dr. Evans is currently President of Lamar University. Previously, he served as dean of the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma where he held the Fred E. Brown chair. Ken received overwhelming support from his peers for this award. His research, teaching, and service to the sales discipline have truly impacted the academic sales community.
The Lifetime Achievement Award honors the outstanding scholar who has made meaningful contributions to the field of sales through publications in top journals, teaching excellence, fostering professional development among others, and generally contributing to scholarship in the area of sales.
Dr. Evans has conducted extensive research and authored more than 70 journal articles on interpersonal influence, sales management, services marketing, and marketing management and theory. His past service to the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø and the sales field is extensive. Ken has held numerous positions in ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø, including President in 2005-2006. He has also co-chaired the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Winter Educators’ Conference, and has chaired several special sessions. Ken is the former editor of the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management. He has served as Chair or Committee Member for over twenty doctoral student dissertations.
The Sales SIG will host a reception at the upcoming Summer ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø conference to honor Ken’s accomplishments.
