The emphasis of the 2015 Marketing Educators’ Association Conference will be on topics dealing directly with marketing education— current marketing trends (e.g. social media, technology, creativity, managing group dynamics), student/department development issues (e.g. internships and client-based projects, developing institutes, centers, interest / advisory groups), as well as general marketing education issues—and will be comprised of both Competitive Papers, Special Sessions and 2-3 page position paper sessions. Conference registration includes a one-year subscription to the Journal of Marketing Education, along with the Wednesday President’s reception and awards dinner, Thursday lunch, and Thursday and Friday breakfasts. MEA participants at the 2014 Conference enjoyed a friendly atmosphere with colleagues from all across the United States and different countries around the world while engaging in discussions about cutting edge advances and future trends in marketing education and pedagogy. Papers presented at the conference may lead to publication in the Journal of Marketing Education or other similar journals. Join us whether or not you are submitting a paper or special session proposal to share ideas and participate in discussions with colleagues who care about the practice and scholarship of marketing education.
SLS Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is an all-encompassing, mixed-use resort and casino with more than 1,600 guest rooms and suites, 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, and a collection of acclaimed restaurants. This hotel is scheduled to open around Labor Day of this year, making it almost brand new for our visit in April 2015! The monorail that runs the length of the strip will be extended to this new hotel, making travel from the SLS to the MGM Grand very easy. A possible Thursday night activity will be to take the 30-minute ride in the new High Roller Ferris Wheel in Las Vegas, currently the tallest in the world. Each passenger pod on the High Roller holds 40 people. There is also a nice shopping and dining area at the base of the ride.
After March 23, 2015, the registration rate will be $400. For those not staying at the conference hotel, the registration rates will be $400 until March 23 and $425 thereafter.
