6th Advances in Tourism Marketing (ATMC) Conference
8-10 September 2015, Joensuu, Finland

Theme: Tourism engagement: Co-creating well-being

Submission Deadline: 31 January 2015 (extended abstract with max 2,000 words)

Keynote speakers:

  • Prof. Christian Grönroos, Hanken School of Economics, Finland
  • Prof. Bo Edvardsson, Karlstad University, Sweden
  • Dr. Melanie Smith, BKF University of Applied Sciences, Hungary

As its long-standing mission, ATMC aims to bring together researchers, PhD candidates, policy makers and practitioners to provide a forum for the discussion and dissemination of themes related to marketing travel and tourism, and to critically evaluate how they may contribute to advancing knowledge and practices in the field. In addition to this general goal, each ATMC conference is charged with a topical theme and to provide both scholars and practitioners with an opportunity to engage and explore that theme in a series of focal discussions.

While offering a general forum for issues in tourism marketing and behaviour research, the forum created around themes distinguishes the ATMC conferences from others. The 2015 ATMC has a clear focus on “Tourism engagement: co-creating well-being”. Again highlighting host-guest interactions, this conference focuses on creating well-being for all stakeholders.

In addition, we also particularly welcome paper submissions addressing issues such as:

  • Co-creating well-being tourist experiences
  • Well-being and tourist destination
  • Communicating wellbeing in tourism
  • Entrepreneurship in wellbeing tourism
  • Marketing tourism places and spaces
  • Tourist behaviour
  • Sustainable tourism and marketing
  • Community based tourism
  • Value co-creation in tourism

Abstracts should be submitted using EasyChair online submission system. Submit your papers at =atmc2015. Abstracts should follow the IMRAD concept (Introduction, Methods & materials, Research and results, Discussion). For detailed call for papers visit .
