The International Hospitality Information Technology Association (iHITA) is a professional organization for educators, researchers and practitioners who are committed to the advancement of hospitality technology. The iHITA conference, the oldest research conference focusing solely on hospitality technology, is a successful forum for bringing together key players (such as educators, vendors, and researchers) of information technology in the global hospitality industry with the goal of improving the quality of education, research, and the technology itself.

The research topic of potential papers can be interpreted broadly as long as long as there is relevance for the hospitality, travel and tourism academic domain. These could include (for example) issues in the information systems, electronic marketing, e-commerce and distribution, social media marketing and revenue management domains, as well as other subjects within the overall conference theme.

The iHITA conference is a co-located conference with HITEC (www.hitec.org), the world’s largest hospitality technology show, and offers attendees the opportunity to interact with hospitality technology vendors and operators while experiencing the latest technology products and innovations on the exhibit floor.
