Introduction

Doctoral Colloquium of the 14th International Marketing Trends Conference, Paris, 23 Jan 2015; Deadline 9 Sep

We are pleased to invite faculty to nominate their doctoral students to participate in the Doctoral Colloquium of the 14th International Marketing Trends Conference which will take place in Paris(Italy) on Thursday 23th  of January 2015.

 

The Doctoral Colloquium will provide doctoral students the opportunity to present their PhD research in an international and a friendly one-on-one environment, to refine research questions, to publish research, to receive guidance on future research directions, and to gain advice on building an academic career from a panel of leading academics.


The deadlines are indicated hereunder:

·         September 9th 2014
Submission of proposal and requirements

·         October 21st 2014:
Notification Proposal acceptance

·         November 25th 2014:

·         Registration deadline (please note a registration to the Doctoral Colloquium gives you access to the complete program of the International Marketing Trends Conference)

·         1st December 2013:
Conference fees payment deadline (150€)

·         23th January 2015:
Colloquium Doctoral of the 14th International Marketing Trends Conference, in Paris (France)

The Doctoral Colloquium is chaired by Professor Michael LINGENFELDER  from Philipps Universitat – Marburg (Germany)

 

Doctoral Students

The Doctoral Colloquium will benefit any doctoral student who has completed a minimum of one full year in his/her program: at the intermediate (theoretical development, hypothesis and research design), as well as middle or advanced stage (data collection) of their dissertation process.

 

Submission Requirement

(All documents send in format in English)

·         Proposal (2 to 7 pages maxi): provisional title, author information (university affiliation) abstract, keywords, academic and managerial marketing issue; research question, literature review; theoretical framework and hypotheses; proposed methodology, anticipated results or preliminary findings or results; conclusion, expected theoretical and managerial implication and anticipated contribution to knowledge, main references (for guidelines see our website www.marketing-trends-congress.com section call for papers).

  • Research Statement: (2 pages maxi):

Name, university address, title, name of thesis advisor (s), date of enrolment and whether part-time or full-time, research agenda, whether at the early (theoretical development), middle (data collection) or late (data analysis and discussion) stages, next steps, one specific issue where you would like feedback from the panel.

  • Curriculum Vitae (2 pages maxi):

A brief CV, name, address, academic background, work experience, research interests and objectives, main publications.

  • Letter of nomination:

Thesis advisor is supposed to send his/her approval with the proposal of the research and to confirm the research agenda.

 

Selection Criteria

The Scientific Committee, chaired by Prof. Michael LINGENFELDER  (Chair), will review proposals and provide developmental suggestions. Selection criteria will be focused on proposals concerned with new trends and developments in marketing as well as on quality and soundness of proposed method; and potential contribution to advancing the field. Preference will be given to doctoral candidates in an intermediate or middle stage of their dissertation process.

 

Sessions

During the Doctoral Colloquium, each participant will have 20-minutes to introduce his / her work (15 slides maxi) in English and 20-30 minutes to discuss their proposal with a panel of international academics.

 

Doctoral Colloquium Fees

The fees include registration and participation in the Doctoral Colloquium and the 13th International Marketing Trends Conference, Conference fees: 150 Euros.

 

The fee includes conference proceedings, coffee breaks and Thursday and Friday lunches at the conference site, formal dinner and Journal of Marketing Trends annual subscription. The fee does not include accommodation and travels expenses and others additional expenses of any kind (transportation, lunches, personal expenses, insurance…).

No extra fees for paper authors who are accepted at the 14th International Marketing Trends Conference.
