The 2014 “Marketing and Society Emerging Scholar Award” to:
Maura L. Scott!

— Maura L. Scott is Assistant Professor of Marketing at Florida State University. Her research interests include over-consumption behavior, goal setting, self-regulation, and transformative consumer research. Maura serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, and her research has been published in leading journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Advertising. Her research has been recognized by the JPP&M Kinnear Award for Best Paper, an Honorable Mention for the JCR Robert Ferber Award, two ACR Transformative Consumer Research Grants, and an ACR-MSI Shopper Marketing Grant. Maura holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Purdue University and her Ph.D. degree from Arizona State University, and previously was in marketing management with the 3M Company, Dial Corporation, and Motorola.
