S. Tamer Cavusgil Award

Introduction

Margaret Fletcher, Simon Harris, and Robert Glenn Richey Jr. have won the S. Tamer Cavusgil Award for their 2013 article in J Intl Mar on internationalization knowledge

Each year, the Editorial Board of Journal of International Marketing honors the author(s) of one of the articles published with the S. Tamer Cavusgil Award, which was established in 1998. This year’s award recognizes the article published in 2013 that has made the most significant contribution to the advancement of the practice of international marketing management. The Editorial Board of the Journal, in conjunction with the award committee, comprising Editor in Chief Constantine S. Katsikeas (chair, University of Leeds), Dan Bello (Georgia State University), and Kevin Zhou (University of Hong Kong), has selected the following recipients and article for the 2013 S. Tamer Cavusgil Award:

The Journal of International Marketing honored the recipients with a cash award and a special plaque, annually presented at the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø’s Summer Marketing Educators’ Conference.

The Editor thanks the members of the Editorial Board and the award committee for taking the time to participate in this important aspect of the Journal of International Marketing, which recognizes authors’ outstanding scholarly contributions.

The award is named in honor of Professor S. Tamer Cavusgil, Fuller E. Callaway Professorial Chair and Executive Director of the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at Georgia State University. Professor Cavusgil specializes in international marketing strategy, early internationalization, and emerging markets. He is the author of several books and more than 170 refereed articles. Cavusgil served as the inaugural Editor in Chief of the Journal of International Marketing, published by the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø. Cavusgil currently edits the Elsevier book series Advances in International Marketing. He is a visiting professor at the University of Leeds and was the 2007 Gianni and Joan Montezemolo Visiting Chair at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
