CN&S is calling for original research papers on various aspects of pricing with particular emphasis on issues arising due to the interconnected world of Internet, Social Media and the like. Research papers on a variety of topics related to pricing and all kinds of papers – conceptual, descriptive, analytical, and empirical – are invited.
We seek papers from scholars around the world addressing any issue in pricing. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Novel pricing mechanisms (e.g. Name your own price; surge pricing etc.)
- Impact of consumer search on firms’ pricing decisions
- Role of shopping bots
- Role of auctions
- Impact of price promotions on the Internet
- Impact of network effects on pricing decisions
- Negotiations between intermediaries and firms on prices
- Effects on bundling strategies
- Role of social interactions on consumer prices
- Role of diffusion in the transaction prices
- Subscription pricing
- “Freemium” pricing
Timelines
The deadline for submission of papers is September 15, 2015. We expect to give a response to authors by October 30, 2015. Revised papers will be due by December 15, 2015, and publication will be in an issue of 2015.
