Revisit: Dark Side of Business Relationships

Introduction

Author workshop for The Dark Side of Business Relationships: Antecedents and Outcomes, Special issue of Industrial Marketing Management, London, 10 Sep 2014; Workshop deadline 30 Jun

Workshop on
‘The Dark Side of Business Relationships: Antecedents and Outcomes’
10 September 2014, SOAS, University of London

Following the call for papers for the special issue in Industrial Marketing Management (please see the link below) on the above research topic, we are delighted to invite authors planning submission to this special issue to present their abstracts/full papers during the one day workshop that will be held at SOAS, University of London, on 10th September 2014. The workshop is solely focused on the above topic and presentation acceptance will only be granted to authors who are intending to submit to the special issue in IMM.

The aims of the workshop are to:

  • enable authors to present, discuss and receive feedback on their papers prior to submission to the special issue.
  • improve the quality of papers and ultimately maximise authors’ chances of final acceptance in the special issue.

Presentation priority will be given to full paper, then to abstracts. This may mean that some abstracts (if not all) may not have the chance to present. We very much encourage authors to submit full papers. Accepted papers for presentation will not be sent for review and authors will be notified of ‘accepted for presentation’ or ‘presentation is declined’.

This workshop is free of charge but only open for authors of the submitted papers/abstracts. Authors of accepted full papers will be given 15 minutes for presentation. This will be followed by discussion for 5-10 minutes depending on the number of papers accepted for presentation. Rejection of an abstract or a full paper from presentation at the workshop does not mean authors cannot submit to the special issue.

Key information:

  • Acceptance will be based on the relevance of papers to the special issue and on the level of contributions to this area of research.
  • Presentation priority will be given to full papers over abstracts.
  • Abstracts that show near completion of the study will be favoured over abstracts that are still in the early stages.
  • Deadline for submission to the workshop: 30th June 2014.
  • Notification of acceptance will be sent out mid-July.
  • The workshop is on 10th September 2014.

Full papers/abstracts for the workshop should be submitted to Ibrahim Abosag (ia9@soas.ac.uk), Dorothy Yen (Dorothy.yen@brunel.ac.uk), and Bradley Barnes (B.R.Barnes@sheffield.ac.uk). Refreshment will be provided throughout the day. The address is: SOAS Main Building, Thornhaugh Street, Russell Square, London WC1H OXG. Nearest underground station is ‘Russell Square’ (1 minute walk). Nearest railway station is Euston Station (3 minutes’ walk).
