Exciting DocSIG Pre-Conference Symposium at Winter ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø!

DocSIG members,

Winter ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø is just around the corner, and DocSIG is hosting some great events. It’s not too late to register for our pre-conference symposium, Friday, February 21, 8:30 AM — 12:30 PM. The theme of this year’s symposium is “What I Wish I Had Known as a Young Scholar” and will feature 12 top-notch scholars who will speak on a variety of topics:

  • Starting the dissertation
  • Defending the proposal and final dissertation
  • Applying for jobs
  • Summer ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø and campus interviews
  • Surviving the first year at the first job
  • Applying for tenure

During the symposium, we will hold a joint session with TechSIG and play a game that is focused on what makes academic research “catch on.” You won’t want to miss this fun and unique opportunity to meet new people and to brainstorm about what makes research go viral!

The symposium registration fee is just $45 and includes breakfast and lunch at the event. Please call the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø at 1.800.262.1150 to register.

Finally, check out

We look forward to seeing you in Orlando!
