Emerald is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Johan Bruwer (University of South Australia) as the new Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Wine Business Research effective January 20th 2014.
Johan Bruwer is one of the world’s foremost authorities on wine business research and industry. During his career, Johan had conducted research for 195 companies in 35 wine regions in 6 countries. He has also authored more than 200 research publications, of which at least 100 are wine-specific and has conducted research on the global wine market, its drivers, consumer dynamics and regulatory aspects on every major importing, producer-exporter and most emerging markets.
Emerald would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Ulrich Orth, for his hard work on the journal, and for his significant contribution to IJWBR over the last eight years. We are pleased to retain Professor Orth’s experience on the EAB. We would also like to extend thanks to the EAB team, who have worked tirelessly to take the journal to the top of its field, as well as offer opportunity for continual expansion.
Please join me in welcoming Professor Bruwer to his new duty as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Wine Business Research. His extensive knowledge, enthusiasm and experience will be an asset in bringing IJWBR to new heights and accomplishments in the coming years. I look forward to see the continued success of IJWBR.”
