ISMS Doctoral Dissertation Winners
The INFORMS Society for Marketing Science (ISMS) would like to announce three winners of the Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Competition 2013.
The winners are (in alphabetical order):
Ron Berman
Beyond the Last Touch: Attribution in Online Advertising
UC Berkeley (advisor: Zsolt Katona)
Clarence Lee
Designing Freemium: a Model of Consumer Usage, Upgrade, and Referral Dynamics
Harvard (advisors: Sunil Gupta and Vineet Kumar)
Song Lin
Standard or Optional: When Should Add-ons be Bundled?
MIT (advisor: Birger Wernerfelt)
The winners were picked from a set of strong submissions by a selection committee consisting of Sachin Gupta (chair, Cornell), Anthony Dukes (USC), and Sridhar Narayanan (Stanford). ISMS thanks the committee members for their careful work in judging the proposals.
The winners will present their work at the 2014 ISMS Marketing Science Conference in Atlanta in a special session devoted to the dissertation awards. They also each receive a check for $5000 and will be honored during the 2014 ISMS Doctoral Consortium Dinner preceding the ISMS Marketing Science conference.
