Registration Deadline: Friday, November 22, 2013, 5:00 p.m. EST
The National Service Marketing Competition (NSMC) will be held February 13-15, 2014 at BGSU in Bowling Green, Ohio. The competition is limited to 10 university teams consisting of 3 – 4 undergraduate students. The deadline to register your student team for the competition is Friday, November 22, 2013, 5:00 p.m. EST.
The NSMC will feature 3 competitive events:
- Service Blueprint Event: Each team develops and submits a service blueprint for a sponsoring firm.
- Service Recovery Event: Teams address a hypothetical service failure and develop a service recovery strategy.
- Service Customer Complaint Event: Individual team representative handles a live customer complaint.
Top 3 teams along with the top individual from the Customer Complaint event based on scores will be recognized and receive awards and cash prizes.
1st place team – $500 per team member
2nd place team – $250 per team member
3rd place team – $150 per team member
Customer complaint winner – $150
The NSMC will provide up to $500 for the team’s travel expenses and will cover up to three rooms for teams and their faculty advisor at the competition’s designated hotel. Meals are provided during the competition. Complete information on the NSMC can be found at .
