Let's Talk about Services, PhD Workshop with Robert Kozinets, Ko de Ruyter, Jay Kandampully, et al., Antwerp, 28-29 Nov 2013; Deadline Oct 25, 2013
This two-day event introduces young scholars to the wonderful world of service research and advances in the use of Netnography.
The first day keynote speakers from academia and business such as Prof. Dr. Robert Kozinets (York University’s Schulich School of Business), Prof. Dr. Jay Kandampully (The Ohio State University), Prof. Dr. Ko De Ruyter (Maastricht University) and Tom de Ruyck (Head of Consumer Consulting Boards at InSites Consulting), will share their insights relating to intertwining academic rigor with business relevance, collaborating with companies, gathering and managing data, and trends in service research.
The second day prof. dr. Kozinets will host an interactive workshop regarding the social media research method ‘Netnography’. Since social media are a natural part of consumers’ everyday existence, online consumer connections have a profound effect on human social life. In this intensive workshop, Prof. Dr. Kozinets, will teach and let the participants experience this research method themselves. This two-day event is a joint initiative of the University of Namur, University of Antwerp, and Ghent University. To keep interactivity at a high level, participants are limited.
The audience:
- Ph.D. Students and Post-docs
- Interested participants have to apply first, by sending their CV, and one paragraph (max. half a page) in which they motivate why they want to participate into the workshop (application form downloadable from the conference website)
- Selected participants are expected to come prepared to the workshop, and should have read the materials listed below in advance (articles will be downloadable from the conference website)
