The Compromise Effect
Introduction
Nico Neumann seeks unpublished or in press studies that contain data on the compromise effect and extremeness aversion
Dear Colleagues,
I am currently collecting data for a meta-analysis project to examine the robustness and variability of extremeness-aversion effects (Simonson and Tversky 1992). I have been able to test a number of potential theoretical and methodological moderators, and I would welcome any additional studies that could help ensure the accuracy of the results. Therefore, I am looking for any unpublished empirical studies, working papers, or forthcoming articles that contain data on the compromise effect/ extremeness aversion (important: the design should exhibit fair value trade-offs, i.e., no asymmetric dominance/ no attraction-effect studies). I am interested in successful and failed attempts.
Please note that the data will only be used at an aggregate level for the meta-analysis.
Any help is greatly appreciated and can be emailed to n.neumann@unsw.edu.au. In case of unpublished data or an unfinished write-up, please include a short description of the study (assignment procedure, conditions/ manipulations, choice shares/ sample size).
Thank you in advance for your help.
