Call for Papers: the Marketing and Technology interface

The World Marketing Congress 2014 is being held in August 2014 in Lima, Peru. This call for papers is for a new track bringing together the topics of marketing and technology.

Marketing and Technology are increasingly becoming inseparable: from a corporate strategic viewpoint, the balance between marketing strategy and technology strategy is becoming more important. Technology is leading and changing marketing faster than ever with changes in distribution, promotion, market research, new product development, pricing, data processing, customer loyalty, consumer reviews etc.

Papers are invited that address the balance between marketing and technology in businesses (strategic viewpoints) as well as the balance and juxtaposition of marketing and technology from a consumer angle. This includes papers addressing the consumer adoption of technology, the way in which technology can be used to change consumption patterns (including mobile technologies).
