Choice Modeling
Introduction
Introduction to Choice Modelling, Discrete Choice Experiments and Best-Worst Scaling, Sydney, 4-8 Nov 2013; Early bird deadline 18 Oct
The Centre for the Study of Choice (CenSoC) invites participants for a five-day course: Introduction to Choice Modelling, Discrete Choice Experiments and Best-Worst Scaling.
To be held on 4 November to 8 November 2013.
Description: The course provides a brief summary of random utility theory and its application to choice models and the types of data typically used to estimate choice models. The course will then discuss binary and multiple choice problems including discrete choice experimental design strategies and alternative choice model formulations. Best worst scaling analysis and experimental design will also be presented. Participants will gain experience designing an experiment and collecting data for binary choices, multiple choices and case 1 best worst choices.
Format: The course will consist of four sessions each day. Sessions are divided roughly into 50% lectures, 25% supervised lab activities, and 25% homework time.
