A Call for Papers has been issued for the 2013 Direct/Interactive Marketing Research Summit, to be held October 12-13, 2013 in Chicago, IL. This conference provides marketing educators and Ph.D. students a forum for direct/interactive marketing, including digital marketing, social media marketing, and database marketing topics.
CONFERENCE AWARDS AND PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES:
Competitive Papers will be double-blind peer reviewed, with considerations as follows:
- The Best Pedagogical Paper will receive a $1,000 award.
- The Best Research Paper will receive a $500 award and accepted research is eligible for publication in the Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing.
- Pedagogically-focused papers that are accepted may be considered for publication in the Journal of Advertising Education.
The Summit co-chairs invite faculty and Ph.D. students to submit conceptual and empirical papers, abstracts, special topic session proposals and roundtable discussion session proposals (especially for roundtables featuring scholar-practitioner dialogue). Ph.D. students are invited to submit work for concurrent sessions or for the Ph.D. Student Poster Session. Submissions should focus on business concerns or current marketing education issues. The following list is not meant to be exhaustive; topics could include:

IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES
- All submissions must be received by May 31, 2013.
- Notification of acceptance will be made by mid-July 2013.
