AMS Review
The Academy of Marketing Science is seeking nominations and applications worldwide for the editor-designate of the AMS Review. The AMS Review publishes thoughtful contributions that offer insights and perspectives extending knowledge and understanding of marketing-related phenomena. The Review is receptive to different philosophical perspectives and levels of analysis that range from micro to macro. Especially welcome are manuscripts that integrate research and theory from non-marketing disciplines such as management, sociology, economics, psychology, geography, anthropology, or other behavioral sciences. The AMS Review, a conceptual and theory focused journal, is now in its third year and has been highly successful in complementing the works submitted to the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science.
The new editor’s term starts on July 1, 2013, following the term of the current co-editors: Victoria Crittenden and Robert Peterson, and is a three year appointment. There will be a transitional, phase in period beginning in the late Spring.
Qualifications and criteria for evaluating candidates:
- Recognized marketing academic knowledgeable in marketing theory and thought.
- Evidence of outstanding service as a reviewer.
- Evidence of administrative competence.
- Innovative ways to improve the success of the journal.
- Willingness to work within the Academy of Marketing Science’s policies, guidelines, and administrative support.
- Willingness to invest the time to continue the growth and success of this new journal.
- Ability to work with the publisher to support the journal’s success.

Nominations should include the following:
- Nominee’s resume.
- Letter outlining nominee’s qualifications in line with the about evaluative criteria.
After the committee evaluates the nominees, a small subset will be contacted to provide a more comprehensive application packet. Nomination deadline: February 15, 2013.
