Sheth Foundation Medal: ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Call for Nominations

Submission Deadline – October 10, 2012

The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Academic Council is seeking nominations from ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø academic members for the Sheth Foundation Medal for Exceptional Contributions to Marketing Scholarship and Practice. This is a bi-annual award designed to recognize an academic who has made enduring and transformational contributions to (a) marketing scholarship and (b) marketing practice in the form of for-profit, not-for-profit, or governmental organizations. Outstanding scholarly contributions are a necessary but not sufficient condition for consideration. The inaugural Sheth Foundation Medal will be awarded in 2013. The award is comprised of a medal, a certificate of recognition, and a $5,000 donation to a not-for-profit organization of the recipient’s choice.

Nominees must be scholars whose work has had a transformational impact on marketing scholarship and practice. Nominations should be made by October 10, 2012 and addressed to June Cotte (jcotte@ivey.ca), Sheth Foundation – ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Academic Council liaison. Your nomination should include details about your nominee, including as much detail as possible about the nominee’s academic contributions, specifically with respect to the impact of the nominee’s scholarship (e.g., thought leadership), Ph.D. Student mentoring, and academic leadership (e.g., editing of major journals). You should also outline the nominee’s contributions to marketing practice (e.g., founding a successful business or not-for profit organization, significantly influencing public policy formulation, etc.).

If you have any questions, please contact June Cotte (jcotte@ivey.ca).
