‘Disaster Avoidance/Recovery Marketing’

On March 11, 2011 at 2:46pm, the massive scale earthquake of magnitude 9.0 occurred in the Pacific side Tohoku and Kanto area in Japan. The numbers of victims of Great East Japan Earthquake are 15,867, and still 2,903 are missing. This disaster made an impact on the many fields, and marketing activities and purchasing behaviors of consumer are without exception. Now Japan is making its efforts toward recovery from catastrophic damages.
Recently, we had many disasters in all over the world. For example, Tornado in USA, SARS in Hong Kong, Forest fire in Australia, Heat wave in Europe, and so on. The Korean Scholars of Marketing Sciences has agreed to publish a special issue of the Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science (JGSMS) with a focus on “Disaster Avoidance/Recovery Marketing”. All of manuscripts must be double-spaced (including figures, tables, notes and references) in 12-point Times Roman font. Submitted papers should be in MSWORD file and less than 6,000 words in length. Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science (JGSMS) was ranked as the top marketing journal by KCI impact factor system administered by National Research Foundation of Korean Government. It is the only marketing journal published in English and Chinese. Co-editors for the issue will be Akira Shimizu and Gaetano Aiello.
