We welcome you to EAERCD2013, the 17th International Conference on Research in the Distributive Trades of the European Association of Education and Research in Commercial Distribution (EAERCD).
The EAERCD was formed in 1990 to act as a contact point for academics involved in teaching and research in the distributive trades. The EAERCD biennial international research conference aims to stimulate discussion and to contribute to an international exchange of ideas, through presenting and analysing research and practical experience amongst researchers and practitioners within the distributive trades.
The Marketing Department of the University of Valencia is proud to host the next conference in 2013. The University of Valencia, one of the largest Spanish universities, is highly rated for its research and teaching programmes. The Department of Marketing has 33 full time professors. The field of retail and distribution channels represents a very active area for teaching and researching within the Department of Marketing at the University of Valencia.
The city of Valencia, by the Mediterranean Sea, is one of the most dynamic tourist destinations of the last few years. The city offers an attractive array of activities and sights. It combines history, tradition and modernity in an unusual way. We look forward to receiving researchers and practitioners from around the world to participate in this EAERCD 2013 Conference in Valencia.
