The 1st Marketing & Strategy (M&S) Summer Research Camp at Cardiff Business School (12-13 July 2012)
Invitation
The Marketing & Strategy (M&S) Section at Cardiff Business School organizes its first research camp on July 12-13 2012. The M&S Summer Research Camp is an event that brings together prominent marketing and strategy scholars from around the world to present their latest rigorous and managerially relevant work. This year the Camp will feature presentations and workshops from Prof. Neil Morgan (Indiana University), Prof. Jaideep Prabhu (Cambridge University), Prof. Michael Tsiros (University of Miami) and Prof. Peter Verhoef (University of Groningen). The M&S Summer Research Camp is designed to foster learning, inspire innovation and spark collaboration.
What to expect
Day 1 (12 July): Our four world-leading speakers will present their latest work. Discussions will follow each presentation.
Day 2 (13 July): Our speakers will lead workshops and discussions on: 1. Publishing in top-tier marketing journals; 2. Substantive and methodological issues in researching/publishing in marketing; 3. Dealing with reviewers’ comments; 4. Why do papers get rejected?
Networking and learning are encouraged throughout the M&S Summer Research Camp in planned sessions, breaks and social events.

Registration
Participants include M&S faculty, M&S doctoral students and invited guests. There are currently some limited spaces available to other interested scholars. Please contact the M&S section coordinator Mrs. Sally Osborne at OsborneS4@cardiff.ac.uk as soon as possible to express an interest in registering for the M&S Summer Research Camp. Participants should cover their own travel and subsistence expenses.
