Jan Heide has won the 2012 ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Interorganizational SIG Lifetime Achievement Award

Professor Jan Heide, the Irwin Maier Chair in Marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Interorganizational SIG Lifetime Achievement Award. The award committee–comprised of Rajdeep Grewal (Pennsylvania State University and Committee Chair), F. Robert Dwyer (University of Cincinnati), and Mrinal Ghosh (University of Arizona)–based their selection on the criteria of:

  • Long-term and significant contributions to various streams of interorganizational research;
  • Sustained record of research excellence in the domain; and,
  • Service to the Interorg academy and/or profession.

The committee notes Jan’s record of publishing conceptual and empirical interorganizational papers in channel, supply chain, buyer-seller, and services relationships. His research has appeared in top tier marketing journals as well as journals in allied disciplines of management and economics. These manuscripts have been impactful with 11,200+ cites on Google Scholar with five articles that have 1,000+ cites. Jan has also served on the editorial review board for several top marketing journals.

The Lifetime Award will be conferred at the annual IOSIG membership reception and meeting to be held at the Summer Ed ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Conference on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chicago Marriott. We hope to see you there!
