Tourism, Hospitality, Financial Products, and Festivals
Extended Submission Deadline: February 15, 2012
The 2012 Global Marketing Conference will be held at COEX in Seoul, Republic of Korea on July 19-22, 2012. This event is hosted by the Korean Academy of Marketing Science, Japan Society of Marketing and Distribution, European Marketing Academy, International Textiles and Apparel Association, and Australian & New Zealand Marketing Academy. This year’s conference theme is “Globalization and Marketing Performance.” For more information about the conference, please visit the following web site (). Manuscripts addressing dynamic global issues including strategies for both domestic and multinational strategies for international tourism, Hospitality, Financial Products and Festivals fit with the overall theme of the Conference and specific track. The conference venue is the COEX in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Empirical and conceptual manuscripts addressing the following issues are particularly welcome for the track and special issue consideration regarding the topic “Marketing Service Products Globally: Tourism, Hospitality, Financial Products, and Events-Festivals.” These topics include (but are not limited to):
· Use of technology and social media strategies in the managing of global service products and brands
· Destination promotion and positioning/global place marketing strategies
· Festival branding issues and cultural implications regarding international festivals
· Issues surrounding ecotourism
· Luxury marketing issues in hospitality and tourism
· Travel storytelling, narratives, and travel site blog analysis
· Marketing issues related to historical places and cultural heritage sites
· New forms of tourism and festivals
· The impact of stock exchange dynamics and/or money exchange rates on global travel
· Real estate (time shares, condominiums, mixed use prosperities) issues in today’s turbulent market.
All submissions, reviewing and notification will be conducted electronically through e-mail. If you do not receive confirmation of your submission within seven days, please contact the track chairs. Please submit manuscripts in a WORD Document in Times New Roman 12-font. Submissions should have page numbers and be limited to 20 pages of text in length. References and citations should follow the style. Please place all tables and figures at the end of the manuscript (following the references). The manuscripts title page should include the corresponding author’s name, affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address. Names and contact information for other authors should be included as well. The review process will be double blind, information that identifies the submission authors should only be listed on the title page. Selected conference papers from research reports presented at the 2012 Global Marketing Conference at Seoul, July 19-22, 2012 will be considered for a special edition of the Journal of Business Research on Marketing Service Products Globally: Tourism, Hospitality, Financial Products, and Festivals. All of papers submitted to the 2012 GMC at Seoul are eligible for review toward inclusion in the special issue of JBR. Best of the best papers presented in all of tracks in the 2012 GMC at Seoul will be qualified for this special issue.
