College of Business, Oregon State University in Corvallis invites applicants for anticipated full time (1.0 FTE), nine-month tenure-track position(s) in Marketing at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin September 2012.
Primary teaching responsibilities involve delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing. We have teaching needs in areas including CRM, personal selling, marketing management, promotion, marketing policy and channels of distribution. Scholarly activities are expected to result in peer-reviewed publications in respected journals. Service responsibilities include engaging with the Austin Entrepreneurship Program.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Employee benefits are excellent. Required qualifications include an appropriate earned doctorate from an AACSB International accredited university or equivalent with an emphasis in marketing and evidence of or potential and motivation for scholarly research and publication in top marketing journals. Preferred qualifications include (1) teaching experience at the university level, (2) relevant professional non-academic work experience and ability to develop strong linkages with the business community, (3) the demonstrated ability to collaborate in scholarly pursuits with colleagues located both locally and remotely; and (4) demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
