Winner – 2011 Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research

The Marketing Strategy SIG of the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø is pleased to announce that Professor Stanley F. Slater, Charles and Gwen Lillis Professor of Business Administration, Colorado State University, is the winner of 2011 Vijay Mahajan Award for Lifetime Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research.

The winner was determined by a committee comprised of senior marketing strategy scholars (including one former Mahajan Award Winner, one former Varadarajan Award Winner, and a CurrentPast JMR Editor) with no conflict (in terms of the institution they belong to and coauthors) with the nominees for the award.

The award will be presented at an invitation only SIG Awards Luncheon Session at the Summer ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø meeting in San Francisco (August 5-7, 2011).

The past winners of the Mahajan Awards are: David Aaker, George Day, David Montgomery, Rajan Varadarajan, Raj Srivastava, Frederick Webster, Gerry Tellis, V. Kumar, Christine Moorman, Ajay Kohli, and Roland Rust (in chronological order).
