Advertising the 2011 ACR Doctoral Symposium

Doctoral students in consumer behavior, psychology, sociology, or other disciplines who are budding consumer behavior researchers are invited to participate in this year’s Association for Consumer Research Doctoral Symposium which will be held in St. Louis, MO, on October 12-13, 2011.

This year’s Doctoral Symposium will feature more than 60 star-studded faculty and will include three types of events in which students can choose to participate. Students will be able to specify in which events they are most interested during registration, which will soon be available on the ACR conference website

Events will include :

 

  1. student presentation sessions, in which students will conduct a 5 minute presentation of their research ideas and receive feedback from faculty
  2. “speed meetings,” in which students and faculty chat in pairs or small groups
  3. advice panels, targeted to students at both the start and end of their doctoral studies
