Introduction

Shintaro Okazaki will step down as Deputy Editor of the Journal of Marketing Communications, replaced by Gayle Kerr. Shintaro will now be Associate Editor at the Journal of Advertising

In January, 2011, I have stepped down as Deputy Editor of the Journal of Marketing Communications to assume the role as Associate Editor of the Journal of Advertising. Professor Gayle Kerr (Queensland University of Technology) has been appointed as my successor. My time as Deputy Editor has been a great learning experience. I want to thank all the JMC Editorial Board members with whom I have had privilege to work. I would also like to thank all the authors who contributed articles and served on Ad-Hoc Review Board. Special thanks go to the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Philip J. Kitchen, who was always ready with an encouraging word or a helpful suggestion to move me and the publication forward. I wish all of you my personal best.
