Thomas C. Kinnear/Journal of Public Policy & Marketing Award
Madhubalan Viswanathan, Manoj Hastak, and Roland Gau have been voted as the recipients of the Thomas C. Kinnear/Journal of Public Policy & Marketing Award for their article “Understanding and Facilitating the Usage of Nutritional Labels by Low-Literate Consumers” which appeared in the Fall 2009 (Vol. 28, No. 2) issue of Journal of Public Policy & Marketing.
The award honors articles published in Journal of Public Policy & Marketing that have made a significant contribution to the understanding of marketing and public policy issues within the past three years (2007–2009). From a list of all eligible articles, a committee comprised of JPP&M’s associate editors nominated articles for consideration. Then, from the articles that received the greatest number of nominations, Editorial Review Board members selected one article that was most deserving of the award.
Generously funded by Thomas C. Kinnear, his colleagues, friends, and former students and administered through the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Foundation, the award’s purpose is to encourage authors to continue to produce high-quality research in marketing and public policy.
The award will be presented at the ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø’s 2011 Winter Marketing Educators’ Conference to be held February 18–20, at the Hilton Austin in Austin, Texas.
- Madhubalan Viswanathan is Professor of Business Administration and Miller Faculty Fellow in the Academy for Entrepreneurial Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
