Call for proposals for the Society for Consumer Psychology’s 2011 Advertising and Consumer Psychology (ACP) conference
The Society for Consumer Psychology will be sponsoring its 30th annual Advertising and Consumer Psychology (ACP) Conference in 2011. The ACP Conference focuses on an issue of interest to consumer psychologists and marketing practitioners and explores this issue in depth. Each year selected papers from the conference are published in an edited book. The conference chairs plan ACP and edit the book that emerges from the conference. Normally this conference is held in spring, typically May, but it can be held at any time in 2011.
Past ACP conferences have included the following:

- Leveraging Consumer Psychology for Effective Health Communications, chaired by Rajiv Batra, University of Michigan, Punam Anand Keller, Dartmouth College, and Vic Strecher, University of Michigan, 2009
- Virtual Social Identity and Consumer Behavior, chaired by Michael R. Solomon and Natalie T. Wood, Saint Joseph’s University, 2008
- New Frontiers in Branding: Attachment, Attitudes, and Relationships, chaired by Deborah MacInnis, CW Park, and Joseph Priester, University of Southern California, 2007
- Brick and Mortar Shopping in the 21st Century, chaired by Tina Lowery, University of Texas at San Antonio, 2006
- Consumers in Transitional Economies: Psychological and Interdisciplinary Perspectives, chaired by Dipankar Chakravarti, University of Colorado-Boulder, Angela Y. Lee, Northwestern University, and Carolyn Yoon, University of Michigan, 2005
