Society for Marketing Advances Leadership Development Symposium for Department Chairs

For the second year, the Society for Marketing Advances is offering a unique opportunity for current and aspiring department chairs/heads as a pre-conference event just prior to the 2010 SMA Meeting in Atlanta. The symposium will be held the afternoon of Wednesday November 3. The conference begins with a welcoming reception that evening.

This symposium is conducted by four experienced academic leaders: Ray Fisk (Texas State University-San Marcos), Bill Locander (Loyola University New Orleans), Greg Marshall (Rollins College), and Bill Moncrief (Texas Christian University). The overall goal is sharing ideas and best practices focused on challenges and opportunities of modern department chair positions and roles. Attendance is appropriate both for current department chairs/heads and for individuals who have interest in moving into a department chair role in the near future. Last year’s event received outstanding reviews from participants.
