27th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
OF THE FRENCH MARKETING ASSOCIATION
18-20 MAY 2011
HOTEL METROPOLE – BRUSSELS, BELGIUM
CALL FOR PAPERS
The 27th AFM annual conference will be held on the 18th -20th of May, 2010, in Brussels, Belgium.
The event will be organized by the Louvain School of Management and the CCMS (Center for Research on Consumers and Marketing Strategy). The conference will take place in the deluxe Hôtel Métropole, which combines historical beauty with modern comfort and is located a stone’s throw away from the most beautiful square in the world, the “Grand’Place.” The local scientific committee, chaired by Professor Alain Decrop, includes Professors Maarten Gijsenberg, Claude Pecheux, Valérie Swaen and Pietro Zidda.
The aim of the conference is to gather scholars from various disciplines and countries, in order to get insights into the most recent advances in marketing research not only from the conceptual side (new areas, new concepts) but also from methodological (tools, methods) and empirical perspectives (new fields, new applications). Papers dealing with emerging topics, using innovative theoretical frameworks or methodological approaches, are particularly encouraged. The main theme of the 2011 AFM annual conference is “Marketing and the co-creation of value.” Submission of papers which are expected to fit broadly – but not exclusively – with this theme, from both consumer and strategic perspectives, is highly recommended. The Conference Board will select one Best Paper out of the papers submitted. The author(s) will receive an award during the conference.
Three different submission formats are possible:
- Competitive papers: full papers (including a conceptual and/or an empirical perspective). Accepted papers will be assigned to sessions on similar topics.
- Special sessions: Authors prepare a proposal including three different papers on a specific theme. These sessions should focus on an innovative, important, and current topic (from either a methodological or a conceptual point of view) in a coherent way.
- Video format: Filmed and edited documents (DVDs lasting between 15 and 30 minutes accompanied by a 3-page abstract) presenting original pieces of research related to marketing themes.
All submissions may be written in French or in English.
Guidelines for authors are listed in the detailed call for papers that can be downloaded on the conference’s website: .
