The INFORMS Service Science Section will hold its second doctoral consortium at the Austin INFORMS meeting this fall. This consortium will be an opportunity for PhD students to discuss their research and career plans with senior members of the service-science community from industry and academia. We have designed the consortium with the main objectives of networking and information-sharing.
Any PhD student whose research is related to service science is welcome to participate in the consortium, regardless of the student’s anticipated graduation date. If you are such a student please fill out the participation form that is below this posting and return it to Ralph D. Badinelli, ralphb@vt.edu. If you know any PhD students who would benefit from this consortium, please forward this invitation to them. Thank you.

2010 Doctoral Student Consortium
The INFORMS Service Science Section will sponsor a PhD consortium for all PhD students who are pursuing research related to services. This consortium will provide a venue for,
· networking among PhD students, industry representatives and faculty from many universities
· showcasing PhD research projects to the service-science community
· advising PhD students in career development
· expanding and strengthening the service-science research community
In order to participate in the Consortium as a PhD student, please fill out this form and submit it by September 1, 2010. Your research interests and career plans will be reviewed by Service-Science Section members from industry and academia, and you will be given the opportunity to meet these reviewers at the Consortium to discuss your plans. We look forward to your participation in the Consortium.

Registration grant!
The registration fee to the San Diego INFORMS meeting ($105) will be paid for the first ten students to submit this form. This grant is sponsored by IBM Research.
