4th ADVANCES IN TOURISM MARKETING CONFERENCE (ATMC)

Following the success of the previous three conferences in Mugla (Turkey, 2005), Valencia (Spain, 2007) and Bournemouth (UK, 2009), we are delighted to announce that the 4th Advances in Tourism Marketing Conference (ATMC) will be hosted by the Multidisciplinary Research Institute in

Maribor, Slovenia, 6th – 9th of September, 2011.

This fourth ATMC conference aims to explore, analyse, and evaluate the state of the art in

TRANSFORMING EXPERIENCES

TOURISM MARKETING FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE COUNTER

This multidisciplinary tourism marketing conference brings together leading academic researchers, policy makers and practitioners. It provides a forum for ‘cross-fertilising’ discussion and dissemination of the latest themes and topics related to the tourism experience economy.

It seeks to re-evaluate service marketing from the combined lens of Consumer Culture Theory (see Arnould and Thompson, 2005) and the Service Dominant Logic as developed by Vargo and Lusch (2004) as well as the Nordic School of service around Gummeson (1997) and Groenroos (2006).
