Professor Gillian Oakenfull and I are interested in organizing and proposing a symposia for the 2011 SCP Conference focusing on measuring and visualizing brand meaning. Some topics that could be considered within this symposia include:

  • Conceptual and/or Theoretical Models of Brand Meaning
  • Approaches to Brand Association Elicitation
  • Methodologies for Quantification/Qualification of Brand Associations
  • Approaches to Visualizing Brand Associations/Meaning for Theoretical and/or Managerial Applications

This list is by no means exhaustive but rather captures some of the topics attached to the challenges related to the measurement and visualization of brand meaning for both academics and practitioners.

The Society for Consumer Psychology will be holding its Annual Winter Conference on February 24-26, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. The deadline for submission of a Symposia Proposal is September 1st, so please respond back to us ASAP if you’re interested in participating.
