CALL FOR PAPERS: "Looking Back, Looking Forward: Shaping the Future of Research in (Service) Marketing"

The ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø Services Marketing Special Interest Group (SERVSIG) is accepting special session proposals for the 2011 Winter Educator’s Conference.

The goal of this special session is to explore new approaches for research in marketing and pedagogical methods, with an emphasis in service domains. In line with the overall conference theme, the special session should serve as a venue to both review insights generated in the field of marketing over the past several decades and to shape the future of research and teaching in service marketing.

Special session proposals should be innovative, creative, and thought-provoking. Further, proposals may be empirical, conceptual, or applied in nature; with the primary requirement being their ability to expand the boundary of current marketing theory and practice. Although special session proposals may vary, researchers may consider drawing upon the following areas including:

  • Service Science
  • Service Marketing, Management, and Engineering
  • Service Design
  • Service Operations & Productivity
  • Service Human Resources
  • Service Education
  • New Research Methods in Services
  • Case Studies
  • International Service Marketing
  • Historical Reviews/Future Implications
  • Other service research areas will also be considered

Please email abstracts or papers by July 12, 2010 to Mark Rosenbaum (mrosenbaum@niu.edu), ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø SERVSIG Programs Coordinator.

If you need additional information, please contact Mark by email or phone (+1 630 445 5067; +1 630.414.6989).
