How are the topics of signage and visual communications integrated into the Marketing curriculum in America’s colleges and universities? Please provide any courses specific to signage and/or research opportunities which your college/university includes in the Marketing curriculum. The Signage Foundation, Inc. (SFI) wants to hear from you on this topic!
The SFI is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the educational and research purposes of on-premise signage. SFI was established in 2002 as a 501(c)3 public foundation. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors representing the diversity of individuals and organizations that believe in the value and strategic importance of on-premise signage. Its purpose is to promote intelligent and productive use of on-premise signage and storefronts to the benefit of every sector of the economy. SFI is engaged with various key constituencies to encourage beneficial use of signage, including the recognition that signage is a transferable real estate asset that must be protected. SFI builds relationships with small businesses, academia, communities and governmental agencies to develop and enunciate public policy for on-premise signage. The Foundation annually sponsors the National Signage Research and Education Conference in collaboration with the College of Business and Design, Art, Architecture and Planning at the University of Cincinnati.
Please feel free to respond to me at patty@thesignagefoundation.org whether you include this component in your classes or not.
