JGAMS Special Issue and Special Issue Theme
The purpose of this special issue of JGAMS is to establish a connection and dialogue between marketing scholars in Asia and Latin America. This issue should establish a needed conceptual bridge in marketing scholarship, and should serve as an indispensable guide to marketing practitioners in both regions. At the same time, this issue seeks to promote and shape the direction of future research in marketing concerning these two areas of the globe. We seek to provide relevant knowledge to global managers and companies who are interested in undertaking business initiatives across these regions.
In this special issue we welcome empirical and applied work based on firms’ experiences in these regions. Comparative case studies are also welcomed. The intention of this special issue is for scholars and practitioners to exchange theoretical insights, empirical studies, and relevant applications on current and relevant issues pertaining to marketing across Asia and Latin America. All works must be original and unpublished.
– Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):Marketing Strategy, Consumer and Buyer Behavior, Marketing Managerial Practices, Market Segmentation, Channel Management, Sales Management, Marketing Mix (Product Planning and Design, Sales Promotions, Wholesaling and Retail, and Pricing)
Submission Process
We encourage researchers interested in these two regions to submit their work to all of the guest editors.
Please submit manuscripts by the deadline: 31 August, 2010. All submissions will undergo JGAMS usual double-blind review procedure and follow the journal’s norms and processes.
