The Marketing Educators’ Association (MEA), the premier international organization devoted to advancing the practice and scholarship of marketing education, will be meeting in Seattle in April 2010 at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel in downtown Seattle for its annual conference. I’m writing to you as a marketing professor to personally invite you to join us.

Not only is MEA’s annual conference a friendly, collegial, and thought-provoking experience for marketing educators, but Seattle is easy to get to and a nice place to visit in the spring.  The Renaissance Seattle Hotel is centrally located in downtown Seattle, close to Qwest and Safeco Fields, Pike Place Market and the city’s finest shopping.  Enjoy the convenience of this hotel boasting breathtaking views of Elliott Bay, the Cascade Mountain Range, and the vibrant, eclectic downtown skyline.

You can’t go to Paris without stopping by the Eiffel Tower. And you can’t visit Seattle without checking out the views and entertainment from the world-famous Space Needle. The MEA will be featuring a special Friday Night social event and dinner at the Skyline Restaurant of the Space Needle with music by the Dave Rawlinson Band.

There’s still plenty of time to work on a paper or special session in advance of our extended November 30, 2009 submission deadline.  Papers presented at the conference are often a stepping stone to publication in the Journal of Marketing Education or other journals. But regardless of whether you are submitting a paper or session, please consider joining us to share ideas and learn from discussions with colleagues who care about the practice and scholarship of teaching.

Feel free to contact me if you have questions.  The call for papers for the 2010 conference is attached and also posted on the MEA website at .
