Journal of Consumer Affairs Best Article Award

At the ACCI conference in Atlanta next April, the Journal of Consumer Affairs editor will announce the best article award from research papers published in 2008 and 2009. The award aims to recognize and encourage high quality scholarship in the consumers’ interests with the honoree receiving a plaque and a $1000 award.

 
The following criteria will be utilizing in determining the “best article” in the Journal of Consumer Affairs.
   An article that is well-written that contains scholarly research and professionally information opinions that involve analysis of individual, business, and/or government decisions and actions that impact on the interests of consumers. 
   An article that addresses an important consumer issue in an innovative and creative way.
   An article that is recognized as having the potential to make a significant contribution to enhancing the consumers’ interests.
 
Procedure
The ACCI membership, ad hoc reviewers, editorial review board members and Journal of Consumer Affairs readers are invited to nominate articles for the best article award (in other words, the immediate world).  The potential articles for the 2010 Journal of Consumer Affairs Best Article Award are listed below.  Nominations must be received by the Editor, Herbert Jack Rotfeld no later than January 4, 2010 via email (rotfeld@auburn.edu with subject line: "JCA best paper nomination").  Include in the nomination the title, authors, and full reference (volume; issue, and pages).
