2009 PDMA Dissertation Proposal Competition, Award Winners Announced

The Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) is pleased to announce the following winners of its 2009 Dissertation Proposal Competition. The overall award recipient is Vijay Hariharan (SUNY-Buffalo), the honorable mention is Sangwon Lee (University of Central Florida), and the two finalists are Ellen Thomas (Temple University) and Heidi Bertels (Stevens Institute of Technology). The aim of the competition is to foster academic research on innovation and new product development and encourage close ties between the academic and corporate worlds. Proposals were evaluated in a double-blind review process by experts in product development and innovation; reviewers judged the proposals against traditional academic standards and the feasibility of completion in a timely manner. Winners will present their research during the Research Forum at the PDMA International Conference in October.
