Call For Nominations
The Society for Marketing Advances is seeking nominations for the second annual Emerald Publishing Emerging Scholar Award. This Award recognizes an Assistant Professor of Marketing who has made significant scholarly research contributions to the Marketing discipline early in her or his career.
The Emerald Publishing Emerging Scholar Award honoree, to be announced at the annual SMA conference Awards Luncheon on Friday, will receive a recognition plaque and cash award.
Submission Criteria and Procedure
- Eligible nominees are those Assistant Professors of Marketing who have completed a doctoral degree within the last four years. For the 2009 Award, this means that the degree must have been awarded in 2005 or later.
- Nominations by colleagues or self-nominations are both acceptable.
- Each nominator or nominee must submit a brief declaration of nomination (an email is sufficient, and the content of these declarations will not be considered in determining the Award honoree).
- Each nominator or nominee should attach a Curriculum Vitae in either Word or Adobe format to the declaration of nomination. The CV should plainly list all publications and verifiable final acceptances for forthcoming publication received through the nomination deadline. Work in progress or currently in the review process will not be considered.
- Nomination deadline is September 7, 2009. Submit nominations to Ron Bush at rbush@uwf.edu. Please write "SMA Emerging Scholar" in the subject line. No hard copy materials will be accepted.
