Selling and Sales Management Special Interest Group (Sales SIG) of ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø is happy to announce Dr. Larry Chonko as the winner of 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award. This award honors individuals for their significant contributions to the sales discipline. Winners of this prestigious award in the recent past include Dr. William D. Perreault, Jr. (2008), Dr. Rosann L. Spiro (2007) , Dr. Thomas Leigh (2006) and Dr. Charles M. Futrell (2005).

Professor Chonko is currently Thomas McMahon Professor in Business in Ethics at the University of Texas at Arlington. Before coming to UT Arlington, Prof. Chonko taught at Bayler University, Texas tech University and University of Houston. Professor Chonko is very active in the sales and sales management area and known for his significant contributions to teaching and research. He founded the Center for Professional Selling and Sales Management at Baylor University. In 1988, Direct Selling Education Foundation recognized his contribution with DSEF Circle of Honor award. Professor Chonko serves on editorial board of several journals in the sales and marketing discipline. During 1988-1990, he served as editor of Journal of Personal selling & Sales Management.

Professor Chonko will be presented with the award at the Sunday evening (Aug 9, 2009) ÂÜÀòÉç¹ÙÍø reception that is co-sponsored by the University Sales Center Alliance.
